Yes, you are right. I agree with you.
In China, most guys want to do the products in good quality, but sometimes, there are many detailed information we need to check and confirm with the supplier, sometimes also need including the customer.
The normal way is like this,
1. Confirm the drawing and conduct technical review. This is the first step, sometimes maybe the supplier doesn't know all the requirements in the drawing, especially the drawing was drawn in English;
2. Do the sample check. During this period, we need to see all the documents, such as process flow chart, P-FMEA, control plan and so on, based on these documents, to review the samples production process and verify the samples;
3. After samples, can go the the first small quantity production, to review the production process and get the quality data, such as Cpk, R@R, and others;
4. Finish above, can add one detailed audit, then after finish corrective actions, can go to mass production. In mass production, need follow up the production report and quality report, quick response for the abnormal incidents.
If we can do like this, I believe, the quality can be under control and ensure the customer risk-free.
